Is one woman's story of being diagnosed bipolar and how she cope's with it by going to a support group in her area. In Mood Disorders she meets other people like herself and slowly finds that she is not alone. Although she lives on disability she is awarded several prominent volunteer awards in her city and is able to live a full and rewarding life.

"Autism in the Family -- A Journey" by Diane MacNaughton
this book tells the story about how Peter and then Diane were diagnosed on the ASD. How "Autism in the Family" started out as first a Respite business for Diane, how then she started to do presentations after she received the Humanitarian Civic Award for 2010 from Medicine Hat and discovered she could indeed talk in front of people. Then Peter join her in doing presentations. Their presentations are mainly advocacy and they enjoy doing it very much.

excerpt "As you can see in my story so far my autistic brain protected me from abuse and helped me to function. Also with the "Gift of Mental Illness" and the support groups I was able to leave an abusive husband. I think most people who hear about a woman in my situation you will feel sorry for me but my story is not over yet. I have more to tell. At the moment, I have left my husband of 19 years, have one child with me, and I am starting over. It will be a rough few years but everyone in town is telling me how well I look. I do look good because I have just left "Hell" and the only ways is "UP!!!"
